Hi! I’m Lynnette — the voice and face behind Socially.Lynnette.
I live in a small town in Southwestern Ontario, where life is a little slower, the coffee is always on, and the grocery prices seem to go up every single week.
I’m a mom of five boys (ages 5–14), which means our house is loud, busy, and usually covered in snack wrappers, LEGO, or laundry. We also share our home with two dogs, two cats, and a few feathered friends — the rooster and his hens who think they run the place.
My husband will remain nameless here… mostly because I’m pretty sure he didn’t sign up to be part of a mom blog.
Why I Started This Blog
Like many families in Canada right now, we’ve been feeling the pressure of rising grocery prices and everyday expenses.
At some point I realized something important:
Saving money on groceries isn’t just about cutting back — it’s about creating room in the budget for the things that bring your family joy.
For us, that means:
- fun adventures with the kids
- hosting friends and family
- creative projects
- and the little moments that make life feel rich even when the budget is tight.
So I started Socially.Lynnette to share what I’ve been learning along the way.
